Church with side chapels

The church is divided into a high altar , a church room and the two side chapels. On the left is the Antoniuskapelle and on the right the Marienkapelle .

The triumphal arch-like columned high altar comes from the sculptor’s workshop of the brothers Josef Stärk and Hermann Josef Stärk and was created by Josef Stärk in 1909. The altar is solid rock and possibly points back to early pagan times. The relief shows Saint Michael as the patron saint of the dying and companion of souls: He leads the departed soul to heaven, where the fullness of supernatural light radiates towards it. The side figures are Saint Sebastian (patron against plague and epidemics) on the left and Saint Wendelin (patron of the country folk) on the right. Predecessor altars date from the years 1667, 1708, 1780 and 1851.
